When you are allergic to fish your immune system is reacting to certain proteins in the fish. Your body uses antibodies and other chemicals to attack the fish allergens, which is why you suffer allergic symptoms if you eat fish. Fish oil supplements usually don´t contain fish proteins, but people with fish allergies are generally advised to avoid BalanceOil due to potential traces of protein contamination. We recommend to take our Vegan Oil if you have allergies to fish protein.
The same applies to a citrus allergy, as there is a natural lemon flavor added to the BalanceOil. If you have a citrus allergy we recommend that you use Zinzino's BalanceOil with the Vanilla flavor.
