Health claims on Omega-3 (EPA and DHA) in BalanceOil:
  • EPA and DHA contributes to the normal function of the heart
  • DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal vision
  • DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function
With high dosages of BalanceOil, the following claim can be used:
  • DHA and EPA (2 g daily) contributes to the maintenance of normal blood triglyceride concentrations (max 5 g EPA+DHA).
  • DHA and EPA (3 g daily) contributes to the maintenance of normal blood pressure (max 5 g EPA+DHA).
√ BalanceOil is high in unsaturated fatty acids

Health claim:
  • Replacing saturated fats with unsaturated fats in the diet contributes to maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels.
  • With high dosages of BalanceOil, the following claim can be used:
Health claim on olive oil polyphenols:
  • Olive oil polyphenols contribute to the protection of blood lipids from oxidative stress.
  • The claim may be used only for olive oil that contains at least 5 mg of hydroxytyrosol and its derivatives (e.g. oleuropein complex and tyrosol) per 20 g of olive oil. In order to bear the claim information shall be given to the consumer that the beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 20 g of olive oil.

EU Health claims on Vitamin D in BalanceOil:
Vitamin D contributes to normal absorption/utilization of calcium and phosphorus, normal blood calcium levels, maintenance of normal bones, maintenance of normal muscle function, maintenance of normal teeth, normal function of immune system and inflammation response. It also has a role in the process of cell division.
